The role of packaging in food safety

We will talk about the critical role of packaging in ensuring food safety. Better barriers and new materials can be solutions to this issue, but food safety is so much more than just a safe product. How do we know that the food we want to consume is fresh and don’t make us sick? Or how do we know that the food is free from contamination? Furthermore, how do we combine food safety with sustainability issues? How can packaging and new technology support this?

Those are questions that will be discussed on the event this day. Be there!

Packaging technology that senses bad food

Innoscentia produces a cheap bacteria sensor which digitally signalizes when spoilage of food is detected. Robin will speak about how this helps retailers and producers evaluate a product’s life cycle more accurately.
